Hull Animal Welfare Trust

HAWT – South Cave

Hull Animal Welfare Trust based in South Cave were in desperate need of a new charity shop since the closure of their existing one when Covid hit. An old funeral parlour had been left in disrepair but its prime location was ideal. They had asked for our help along with our work contractors with the internal renovation works which included shop fitting, disabled facilities, staff/work room facilities.

Previously this room was being utilised to house special needs dogs or litters of puppies. With the ever increasing vets costs and medicines, it was decided to create a vet room specially to assist with the care of all animals within the trust which could be used 24/7 days a week. A grant was awarded to enable this excellent facility to happen. We worked alongside another contractor to put this room together but our services provided and installed new windows, hygienic wall cladding, safety flooring, storage units and work bench as well as installing the veterinary equipment.

HAWT – Hull

Hull Animal Welfare Trust had been awarded a contract from the Hull City Council Dog Warden team to be able to welcome new ‘barking’ residents into their care until their owners were found and collected them or to find them a new family to love them. This dedicated block was transformed by us from an existing disused small holding on their site as their current rescue kennel blocks were being used for other rescued and abandoned dogs.

We had to separate each pen with block work, modify each pen gate to ensure maximum security for everyone, install a new fully insulated plastic roof and to secure all working areas.
